Blake Lively's It Ends With Us Costar Denies Her Allegations
An It Ends With Us crew member wants to ensure this tale doesn’t end without her side of the story.
Amid the ongoing drama between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, Talia Spencer—a storyboard artist on the film—shared her thoughts on the drama, including how she thinks Blake tried to take control of the creative direction.
Calling Justin “one of the few directors” she’s worked with that has been “kind and respectful,” Talia added during an April 13 appearance on 60 Minutes Australia, "I feel like maybe Blake smelled his kindness, mistook it for weakness and tried to take advantage and take power.”
And when asked if she felt like Blake attempted to take “control of the film,” Talia replied, “I think she tried to, yes.”
“I think there was a massive compromise,” Talia continued, “in terms of Justin's original vision for the film."
E! News has reached out to reps for Blake for comment but has not yet heard back.
Talia’s perspective comes amid what has become an increasingly contentious battle between Blake, Justin and a growing number of their allies, including Blake’s husband Ryan Reynolds.
On Blake’s side, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum has accused Justin and his Wayfarer Studios partner Jamey Heath of sexual harassment, as well as creating a hostile work environment and launching a smear campaign against her after she first filed a complaint against the pair.

Justin has denied all the allegations, and in his own filings has claimed Blake attempted to take an amount of creative control over It Ends With Us that was inappropriate for her role as producer.
Among his many allegations, Justin claimed Blake leveraged her close friendship with Taylor Swift to influence changes to the film—including making a "veiled threat" through a studio executive "implying she might 'change her mind' about reaching out to Taylor Swift to secure the use of 'My Tears Ricochet' for the trailer if her demands are not met,” as seen in court documents published online by Justin.

The Jane the Virgin alum has also claimed two versions of the film were created, with Blake’s personal edit being the version of the Colleen Hoover adaptation that was ultimately released.
"This maneuver felt less like a professional request and more like extortion," Justin’s filing read, "holding the film's marketing efforts hostage to gain creative control."
Scheduled to go to trial in March 2026, “This case deals with serious allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation,” Blake’s attorneys said in a Feb. 3 statement to E! News. “We will hold the defendants accountable, and we are confident that once all the evidence is submitted in this matter, Ms. Lively will prevail."
